Our firm was originally established in 1867
by Mr. Ferdinand Reush consolidated by Mr. Joseph Fromherz, and then passed
on to Mr. Alvin Fromherz. Shortly before the death of Mr. Alvin
M. Fromherz, the grandson of the original founder, his two sons, Frank
C. and Thomas A. Fromherz assumed ownership of the corporation.
In 1989, the stockholders agreed to transfer the company's ownership to
several longstanding employees.
Following this reorganization,
Fromherz Engineers, Inc. qualified as a minority-owned business and
maintains its prominent reputation for high quality and versatility.
The current directors are Frank C. Fromherz II, Jay Shah, and James
Denson. We continue to preserve the highest values and traditions of
our 130 plus year history. We remain the oldest engineering firm
in the United States with a descendent of the founder as an owner.
Fromherz Engineers, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary professional organization.
We practice architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental
engineering. Most of our practice serves the Gulf South in the
United States. We have also successfully completed projects in
Central America, the Middle East, Africa, India, and around the world.
Fromherz has additional offices in India and Costa Rica.
Our firm continues in the professional practice of architecture and
engineering. We maintain our business by performing high quality
work for our clients. Our business reputation is built on pleasing
our customers, and we have been serving some of the same satisfied clients
for nearly 50 years. Our firm has been in continuous operation
since the 1800's, throughout the 1900's, and now the 2000's. Along
the way we have embraced the newest technologies as they become available.
This has increased our flexibility, enhanced our productivity, and sustained
our state-of-the-art design practices.
