Engineers, Inc. has been active in municipal engineering since the late 1930s when the
eight original public housing projects were constructed in the City of New Orleans. During
World War II, the firm designed eight large projects for the Army and Navy which required
the development of large unoccupied sites. In post war years, the firm became a leader in
the design of municipal projects. Numerous sewerage projects have been designed for
municipalities, public agencies and special purpose districts. These assignments include
over 370 miles of gravity collection systems varying in size from 8 inch to 72 inch
diameter, 26 new or expanded treatment works, over 60 pumping stations varying in size
from a few hundred gallons per minute to 200,000 gpm, and many miles of force mains. The
following is a listing of some sewerage assignments designed by the firm. Sewage Treatment Works
